D.Camp, a startup support program operated by the Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs, Monday announced that TIMWORK won the March D.Day X IP Business co-hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) on March 30.

D.Camp has been working with the KIPO for the past five years to encourage startups with unique ideas to apply or register patents on their technologies to increase their competitiveness and raise awareness of the importance of intellectual property rights.

Companies participating in D.Day will be selected as priority candidates for support projects run by KIPO and KIPA for IP commercialization. In the process of IP commercialization, which requires establishing business strategies, product planning, prototyping and verification, companies can receive professional consultation and various services step by step.

The D.Camp Award winner TIMWORK has developed a smart drawing integration and management SaaS solution called TIMVIEW to improve the construction work environment. In TIMVIEW, users can easily check changes or interferences in drawings that are modified during work by part. It provides various functions that consider the construction environment, such as drawing scale and location-based notes. It was recently piloted at Lotte E&C Co.

The KIPO Award went to eFlow. The startup develops and manufactures engine components and finished products for short-distance mobility vehicles such as e-bikes, scooters and microcars. The axial flux motor developed by eFlow is smaller and lighter than conventional driver, but it can produce up to 120 Nm of power. This is 30 percent to 40 percent higher than existing motors currently available in the market. The company has established local subsidiaries in Germany and the U.S to respond to market demand for eco-friendly micro-mobility.
