Hungarian parliament votes in favour of ruling coalition-drafted Ukraine pro-peace resolution

The resolution, which was adopted by 130 votes for, 24 against, and no abstentions, was proposed by the ruling Fidesz-KDNP alliance to mark the anniversary of the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. By adopting the resolution, lawmakers declared their commitment to peace and called on the international community to take steps to achieve peace "as soon as possible". The MPs also called on international players to "avoid measures that could result in the spread of the war", and condemned Russia's military aggression and acknowledged Ukraine's right to self-defence.
