Boy band Enhypen will star in the upcoming film “Baby Shark’s Big Movie!,” announced producer The Pinkfong Company on Friday.
“Enhypen will be appearing as the most popular K-pop band underwater based on belugas, adding bright and cheerful energies to the film,” said the press release.
“Baby Shark’s Big Movie!” (working title), an animated film co-produced with The Pinkfong Company and American cable channel Nickelodeon, will premiere in the U.S. later this year through Paramount Plus streaming service. It will be a cinematized version of “Baby Shark’s Big Show!” (2021), which featured Baby Sharks going on adventures to a new city.
Hip-hop singer Cardi B will also lend her voice to the film as a shark inspired by the artist.
The Pinkfong Company is a global family entertainment company well-known for its “Pinkfong” and “Baby Shark” children’s chant videos. The Baby Shark Dance video garnered 12 billion views. The channel has more than 70 billion cumulative views and 120 million subscribers as of March 2023.
Enhypen is a seven-member boy band formed through cable channel Mnet’s audition program “I-LAND” (2020). Debuted in Nov. 2020 with EP “Border : Day One,” the boy band is known for its hit songs, “Drunk-Dazed” (2021), “Go Big or Go Home” (2021) and “ParadoXXX Invasion” (2022).
