Actor Yoo Ah-in, currently under investigation by police over allegations of illegal drug use, apologized once again on his Instagram on Tuesday, a day after he was summoned for questioning.
“I provided an inadequate apology after the police questioning yesterday,” Yoo wrote on his Instagram.
“To everyone I worked with in movies, dramas, advertisements and more, I wish to relay my apology that I wasn’t able to yesterday.”
“I will try my utmost to fulfill my responsibilities [...] I now am fully aware of the fact that the errors that I made cannot be covered with any excuses, and the self-justification that I brought up [in my mind] could never mask my foolish mistakes.”
“I will diligently cooperate with future investigations, and I will humbly face the criticisms and accept the punishment by law,” the actor concluded in his statement.
On Feb. 5, the police enforced a search and seizure warrant on the actor at Incheon International Airport and conducted a urine test. He tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol, the main constituent of marijuana. More detailed drug screening results given to the police in March showed that the actor also tested positive for propofol. Police summoned Yoo on Monday for 12 hours of questioning.
