The Houthis mark the 8th anniversary of the beginning of the Saudi-led coalition's bombing of Yemen on 26 March. Yemen has been in the grip of a full-blown armed conflict between the Houthis and the Saudi-backed government since 26 March 2015 when the Saudi-led coalition launched a military campaign against the Houthis for restoring the government, claiming the lives of over 400,000 people. Yemen?s war is referred to as the Saudi Arabia-Iran proxy conflict in which the warring parties have been militarily and politically backed by Saudi Arabia and Iran respectively since 2015.
