Danish government considering to reopen ammunition factory in Elling due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine

The ammunition factory was owned by the Danish defense until 2008. Then it was sold to the Spanish group Expal. At the factory in Elling, the Spanish company destroyed old ammunition and produced so-called low-caliber ammunition. After several years of losses, the Spanish owners chose in 2020 to close the factory, which at the time employed 63 people.
