North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles that landed in the East Sea on Tuesday, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The missiles were fired between 7:41 a.m. and 7:51 a.m. around Jangyon area in South Hwaghae Province.
This is the second missile launch by the North this week, in apparent protest of the Freedom Shield 11-day joint exercise between South Korea and the United States that began Monday.
The exercise has not been held since 2018.
