Apple confirmed that Apple Pay will launch in Korea.
Apple announced in an e-mail statement on Wednesday that the near-field communication (NFC) payment system will launch in Korea.
Hyundai Card, the credit card company that has been in talks with Apple for months to launch Apple Pay in Korea, announced that it is "looking forward to collaborating with Apple to introduce Apple Pay to Korea" in a statement on Wednesday. The credit card company added that more details will follow in the coming months.
