North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the barracks of the North's military with his daughter Kim Ju-ae on Tuesday, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Army (KPA).
Its state media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) announced on Wednesday that Kim visited the KPA barracks to commend the troops' efforts with his respected child, referring to Kim Ju-ae.
"Our armed forces achieved the prestigious reputation from this era and history as the strongest armed forces in the world," the North Korean leader said in a speech at a banquet that was held after his barracks visit.
According to Kim, the KPA has inherited the unyielding spirit and divine mission from the first generation of the revolutionary forces.
"I have no doubt that our military leadership and soldiers have the absolute loyalty to give their lives without any regret, even though they have not experienced the rigorous war and hardships of the revolution," he added.
Kim Jong-un did not make any comment directed to South Korea nor the United States.
Meanwhile, a military parade is expected to be held in the Kim Il Sung Square in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang later Tuesday evening.
Intelligence communities are eyeing the ceremony commemorating the founding of the KPA to find out if Kim will deliver messages against South Korea or the United States and reveal new arms such as a super-large multiple rocket launcher that can be equipped with nuclear warheads or a stealth unmanned aerial vehicle.
