“BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas" is set for release Wednesday, according to the boy band’s agency HYBE.
The film documents the band's free concert titled “Yet to Come in Busan” held in Busan in October last year which aimed to promote the city’s bid to host the World Expo in 2030. The live concert was captured by 14 cinematic cameras for the movie.
The movie will be released in 2D, 4DX, 4DXScreen and ScreenX formats. ScreenX format, developed by the multiplex cinema franchise CGV, utilizes the left and right sides of the cinema walls as secondary screens. The entire movie has been shot with the ScreenX format in mind.
“ARMY bomb viewing” is also planned. It will be a special viewing where fans will be allowed to bring their BTS light stick into cinemas to show support for the band — as fans would do at concerts.
The movie will be released in more than 110 countries around the world.
Also on Tuesday, BTS was nominated for the Favorite Music Group award by the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2023, which the band had won for three consecutive years.
