Australian rangers remove giant cane toad from the wild in North Queensland

epa10417409 An undated handout photo made available by the Department of Environment and Science (DES) of the Queensland Government on 20 January 2023 shows a cane toad, dubbed 'Toadzilla', found by rangers conducting track work in Conway National Park, near Airlie Beach, in the Whitsunday region of Queensland, Australia. The cane toad, believed to be a female, weighed in at 2.7kg and was euthanized due to the environmental damage they cause, according to a statement released by the DES on 20 January. Cane toads, an invasive species, were introduced into Queensland in 1935 to control the cane beetle.
