The police and National Intelligence Service raided the office of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions in Seoul on Wednesday on suspicions it violated the National Security Law.
Authorities began investigation the union after information it uncovered while probing an underground progressive party based on Jeju Island.
The underground organization is suspected of running anti-government campaigns and attempting to cease South Korea-U.S. combined military training under orders from North Korea.
