EP corruption scandal suspect Panzeri signs collaboration agreement with Belgian authorities

epa10411639 (FILE) - Pier Antonio Panzeri, then chair of the European Parliament's Subcommittee on Human Rights, attends the 70th anniversary of the universal declaration of human right's conference at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, 20 November 2018 (reissued 17 January 2023). According to a press release form the Belgian Public Prosecutor's Office from 17 January 2023, Panzeri and the prosecutors have signed a so-called "repentance agreement". Panzeri, indicted for participation in a criminal organization, money laundering, and public corruption, will make "substantial, revealing, truthful and complete declarations" about his and third parties' participation.
