Blackpink will perform at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes, which translates to the Yellow Coin Gala, a charity event hosted by Operation Yellow Coins and France.tv, France's national public television broadcaster.
The First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, as the chair of The Hospital Foundation, is the sponsor of Operation Yellow Coins, called L'opération Pièces Jaunes in French. The operation aims to improve the conditions of hospitalized children and adolescents, according to its website.
The concert will also feature other renowned artists, including Pharrell Williams, Mika, Vianney and cellist Gautier Capuçon.
Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes will be recorded on Jan. 25 in Paris and tickets to the concert will be available through select Carrefour stores. The concert will also air on the France 2 channel on Jan. 28.
First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, was spotted watching Blackpink’s concert in Paris last year.
Blackpink is currently on its world tour, “Born Pink World Tour.” With seven North American and seven European cities visited last year, Blackpink began touring Asian cities starting with Bangkok on Jan. 7 and 8. Blackpink will also headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Hyde Park British Summer Time (BST) festival.
