Anarchist bakery in Montreuil struggles with inflation

epa10402586 Ricardo, a Mexican-born baker, prepares the bread at La Conquete du Pain (The conquest of bread) a self-managed anarchist bakery in Montreuil, France, 10 January 2023 (issued 13 January 2023). Inspired by Pierre Kropotkin's book The Conquest of Bread, the bakery is open since 2010. They proclaim a management without hierarchies, where all the employees have the same salary, they give the unsold goods every evening at closing time and they have introduced the suspended bread, a customer pays the baguette for a person who cannot afford it. Since February 2022, they find difficulties, less customers, increase of the price of electricity and also the prices of the premium materials, some products like butter have doubled the price.
