Female supergroup GOT the beat will perform its new track “Stamp On It” on the Jan. 19 episode of Mnet music show “M Countdown,” according to SM Entertainment on Thursday.
“Stamp On It,” the title track of GOT the beat’s first EP set to officially drop on Jan. 16 at 6 p.m., is an “R&B hip-hop dance track with an impressive 808 bass beat, combined with groovy piano sounds,” said SM. It sings about the cutthroat competition on the stage to reach the top spot in the entertainment industry.
GOT the Beat is a female group comprised of seven members from each of SM’s leading girl groups — BoA, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon of Girls’ Generation, Seulgi and Wendy of Red Velvet and Karina and Winter of aespa. It debuted in January 2022 with the digital single “Step Back” and was dubbed the “female avengers of K-pop” thanks to its lineup of members.
The group appeared on the livestreamed new year’s concert “SMTown Live 2023: Leave SMCU @Kwangya” on Jan. 1 to perform “Stamp On It” prior to its official release.
