A Tesla Model X parked at a service center caught on fire on Saturday, according to the fire department.
The owner of the Tesla took the vehicle to a service center in Seongdong District, eastern Seoul, after feeling something was wrong with the automobile.
A total of 65 firefighters and 27 fire trucks were sent to put out the fire.
There were no injuries or casualties reported, although the vehicle was half destroyed, according to the fire department.
A witness heard a boiling sound from the car and smelled burning, according to a social media post. Bubbling was heard three times, and the vehicle threw off sparks before igniting.
