Blackpink’s music video for “Pink Venom” broke 500 million views on Saturday on YouTube, 134 days after its release.
According to YG Entertainment, the video hit the 500-million-view mark at 1:07 a.m. on Saturday, giving the group 14 music videos watched over 500 million times.
The hip-hop dance track was released Aug. 25, and its YouTube music video was watched 90.4 million times within 24 hours, giving it the title of most-watched female artist’s music video in the world. “Pink Venom” broke the 100-million-view mark in 29 hours and 25 minutes, the fastest for a K-pop girl group.
Blackpink began the Asian leg of its“Born Pink World Tour” on Saturday at the National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The group will travel to Hong Kong for three concerts, on Jan. 13, 14 and 15, followed by concerts in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Kaohsiung and Manila with the last show on May 13 in Singapore.
