BTS leader RM expressed dismay at Hwaeom Temple for disclosing details about a conversation he shared with a monk during a visit he made last month.
Last Wednesday, an official from the temple revealed that RM visited Hwaeom Temple, located in South Jeolla, on Dec. 29, in search of inspiration and guidance from Buddhist teachings.
“Thank you for a good time but I never thought there would be news articles,” wrote the BTS leader on his Instagram on Thursday. “I’ll visit a different temple next time, quietly.”
According to the temple official, the musician sat down with Monk Deokmun to talk about his inner thoughts and relax in the woods.
The official added that when asked by the monk whether it upset him that the group members weren't exempt from their military duties, RM answered, "We want to fulfill our duties to serve our country” and that he will “take the chance to become a grown-up."
Fans have been criticizing the temple in social media posts for its indiscretion following RM’s visit.
