Ragnarok X: Next Generation was introduced in Korea on Thursday.
It is the latest online title from Gravity.
Ragnarok X: Next Generation is the third title in a trilogy released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ragnarok series. Two prior titles, Ragnarok: The Lost Memories and Ragnarok Arena, was released in Korea during latter half of 2022.
All three titles were initially rolled out in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand in 2020 to 2021.
The massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) was reserved for downloads by over 1 million users in Korea, after receiving positive feedback from users during the closed beta test that took place between Oct. 11 and 13 last year.
Ragnarok X is hosting a celebratory event until Jan. 20, allowing users to earn a variety of rewards, such as cash points, by inviting their friends to play and by resolving quests together.
“Ragnarok X is finally here,” said Choi Sung-wook, director of Gravity Business Division on Thursday. “As the game garnered good results from other regions, we hope that domestic users enjoy the game as much as foreign users did.”
