A new girl group called tripleS will debut in mid-February, its agency Modhaus announced Thursday.
The group is being led by producer Jaden Jeong, who has previously worked with a number of K-pop agencies, including JYP Entertainment, Woolim Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment Korea.
tripleS, which will initially see ten members debut, will release its official debut album mid-February.
The group was first conceived by Jeong in April last year and will eventually consist of 24 members in total. Subscribers to the group's official YouTube channel have already exceeded 610,000.
The first ten members of tripleS to debut include Kim Chae-yeon, an emcee of the popular EBS show “Tok!Tok! Boni, Hani,” Kim Na-kyoung, the younger sister of singer BIBI and Kaede, a former Japanese model.
