Singer Naul will kick off a new project, “Soul Pop City,” on Jan. 12 at 6 p.m., according to his agency Long Play Music on Thursday.

Long Play Music released a teaser image of Naul’s “Soul Pop City” through its official social media channels Thursday.

The teaser image features the words “Soul Pop City” and the title card “Produced by Naul” on torn paper, as well as a collage created by Naul himself.

“Soul Pop City” is an extension of Naul’s world of music, according to Long Play Music. It is also a new beginning to announce Naul’s sub-label, na’mm’se Records, with a “slightly maniac album” filled with his favorite music style that Naul hopes to introduce into the music industry, according to the agency.

Naul plans to continue releasing soul and R&B music from the 70s through the 90s through na’mm’se Records.

“Soul Pop City” will be released in the form of vinyl records in collaboration with “Limited Vinyl Club,” a limited-edition vinyl production project supported by Hyundai Card. The vinyl can be purchased with the Hyundai Card Dive app. It will be sold as a CD at a later date.

On Dec. 27 last year, Naul announced the beginning of the “Ballad Pop City” project, which he was in charge of writing, composing and producing, with the intention of producing a ballad that fits well with the Korean language and has a lively melody, according to Longplay Music.

The first song, “Sick Me” (translated) sung by Sung Si-kyung was released previously, and songs sung by Taeyeon and Naul will follow.

Naul is also a member of Korea’s popular ballad group Brown-Eyed Soul and an artist who has been holding exhibitions under the name NAMMSE. His latest exhibit, held last June, was titled “(NAMMSE) : Music Industry.”
