Pharmcle completes new bioside plant in Gangwon Province

Pharmcle Co., Korea’s largest provider of pest control products, has unveiled a plan to develop itself into a global company with a comprehensive lineup of biocide products at a new plant in Gangwon Province.

The company said on Sunday it recently completed a new production center in Ucheon Industrial Complex in Hoengseong. The plant, located on a 18,000-square-meter site, has 23 advanced independent production facilities capable of manufacturing all types of biocides, including aerosols, insecticides, repellents, fungicides, food additives and poison baits.

Established in 1989 as a sister company of CESCO Co., Asia’s largest pest control service company, Pharmcle has mainly produced pest control products for professionals.

The new factory took a step forward also in terms of shipment and distribution as automation and advanced logistics solutions are applied. The Hoengseong plant will serve as an outpost for Pharmcle to grow into a dedicated biocide company, the company’s President Chyun Chan-min said.
