GOT the Beat, SM Entertainment’s female supergroup, will make a comeback with a new EP on Jan. 16.
SM Entertainment made the announcement Thursday that GOT the Beat’s first EP “Stamp On It” will be released on Jan. 16.
GOT the Beat is a female group comprised of seven members from each of SM’s leading girl groups — BoA, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon of Girls’ Generation, Seulgi and Wendy of Red Velvet and Karina and Winter of aespa.
The supergroup’s first song “Step Back” topped Korean and international charts in January this year and garnered 100 million views across streaming platforms including iTunes, YouTube and Spotify.
GOT the Beat is a project based on intense dance songs and performances, and the new EP to come next year will include a total of six songs in the dance genre, SM Entertainment said through a statement Thursday.
In addition, GOT the Beat will appear in “SM Town Live 2023: Leave SMCU @Gwangya” to be held on Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. Korean Standard Time and perform a new song from the EP in advance.
GOT the Beat’s first EP can be pre-ordered through various online and music stores starting Dec. 29.
