Daesung of boy band Big Bang is leaving YG Entertainment, according to his agency Tuesday.
“Daesung’s contract with the agency has ended, and he is getting ready for a new start,” said a spokesperson for YG Entertainment.
“There is no change to the fact that he is a member of Big Bang, and we support his new beginning and decision.”
The news came as fellow Big Bang member Taeyang on Monday announced the changing of his agency from YG Entertainment to its affiliate The Black Label.
In February, another member T.O.P also left the agency after his contract came to an end.
The agency said it is currently in talks with G-Dragon for his solo contract with the agency.
Big Bang debuted in 2006 with the album “Big Bang Vol. 1 – Since 2007.” The band later saw immense success with songs like “Lies” (2007), “Haru Haru” (2008), “Tonight” (2011), “Fantastic Baby” (2012) and “Bang Bang Bang” (2015).
