The price of Coca Cola beverages sold at convenience stores will rise next year.
For a 350 milliliter can of Coke, the price will rise by 5.3 percent from 1,900 won ($1.48) to 2,000 won, while the price of a 1.5 liter plastic bottle of Coke will rise by 2.6 percent from 3,800 won to 3,900 won.
The same goes for Coca Cola Zero, with the price of 350 milliliter cans of the beverage increasing 100 won. The price is same as Coca Cola.
For Monster Energy, an energy drink, the price for a 350 milliliter can will rise by 4.5 percent, from 2,200 won to 2,300 won.
All price changes are effective in January 2023.
The price of a Coke was last increased in January 2022, and Monster prices were upped in January 2021.
“The rise of the price of plastic bottles, aluminum and sugar due to global inflation led to the rise of price in convenience stores,” a spokesperson for Coca Cola said. “We’ve tried, as best as we can, to reduce the rate of increase for the products.”
