Iran's morality police "has nothing to do with the judiciary," prosecutor general says

According to Iran's state news agency ISNA, prosecutor general Mohammad Jafar Montazeri clarified on 03 December 2022 that the Guidance Patrol, as the morality police is formally called, "has nothing to do with the judiciary, and it was closed from the same place it was established in the past." The veiling in the country was one of the judiciary's main concerns though, Montazeri said.
