Celltrion kicks off marketing of Avastin biosim in Korea

Celltrion started a commercial rollout of Vegzelma, a biosimilar version of Avastin (bevacizumab), in South Korea on Thursday with national health insurance coverage for eligible cancer patients. Vegzelma, which was approved by Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in September can be used for all the same indications as Avastin, including metastatic colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, epithelial ovarian cancer, and metastatic breast cancer.
