Negotiations between the government and Cargo Truckers Solidarity broke down Wednesday afternoon after just 40 minutes of discussion.
Truckers have been on strike since Nov. 24.
The second round of negotiations, which began Wednesday, broke down without any progress being made, according to the government, the union and local new reports.
The Cargo Truckers Solidarity, a union under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), is demanding the permanent implementation of the freight charge system, which guarantees minimum pay for truckers, and other concessions.
