The NC Dinos on Wednesday re-signed free agent infielder Park Min-woo on a five-plus-three deal worth up to 14 billion won ($10.5 million).
Park, who played the last decade with the NC Dinos, will earn nine billion won in salary spread over the first five years with a one billion won signing bonus. At the end of the 2028 season, the Dinos retail the option to extend Park's contract for another three years for up to five billion won.
Park is the only of the Dinos’ seven free agents to fall into the KBO’s “A” category for the top players.
Park started his career with the NC Dinos in 2012 as the ninth pick in the rookie draft.
Park became a Dinos franchise start after recording a batting average of .300 for six consecutive years from 2015 to 2020. He has played 1,038 games in his career and has a career .320 batting average.
In the 2022 season he had a .267 batting average with 104 knocks, 38 RBIs, 61 runs and four homers.
“I have great memories here,” Park said in a statement released by the club. “I really hoped that I wanted to spend the rest of by baseball career here with the Dinos.”
