The Lotte Giants on Wednesday signed free agent infielder No Jin-hyuk on a four-year deal worth 5 billion won ($3.7 million).
No, who formally played for the NC Dinos, will earn 2.4 billion won in annual salary with a 2.2-billion-won signing bonus and 400 million won in incentives.
No was a Dinos franchise star, signing with the club in 2012 and playing nine seasons with the Changwon club. He leaves the Dinos with a career .266 batting average with 615 hits, 331 RBIs and 71 home runs to his name.
In the 2022 season he had a .280 batting average with 111 knocks, 75 RBIs, 50 runs and 15 homers.
"Lotte approached me directly with a sincere offer and a generous deal," No said in a statement released by the club. "It's an honor to join such a prestigious club."
Noh is the second free agent to join the Giants this offseason. The club signed catcher Yoo Kang-nam, formerly of the LG Twins, for 8 billion won on Monday.
