Grandchildren of the founder of South Korea’s LS Group have moved up to the C-suite as the 17th largest conglomerate from the Koo family lineage of LG Group gears into younger management. LS Group’s board on Tuesday endorsed annual executive promotions including two third-generation heirs in the owner family.

Koo Bon-kyu, vice president and CEO of LS Cable & System who is the eldest son of Chairman Koo Cha-yub, was promoted as new President and CEO. He proved his capability as a leader amid business uncertainties based on his career at LS Cable & System’s U.S. operation and LS Mtron.

E1 Executive Vice President and CEO Koo Dongwhi, son of former LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-yeol, will move to LS Electric to direct vision management as new vice president. He is recognized for his achievements in grooming new businesses such as renewable energy.

Myung Roe-Hyun and Doh Suk-goo [Source : LS Group]
Two President and CEO Myung Roe-Hyun of LS Corp. and Doh Suk-goo of LS MnM were promoted to Vice Chairman and CEO.

The group said it has not made big change in leadership during this year’s annual executive reshuffle for stable management amid growing business uncertainties.
