Local start-up accelerators are finishing off the year with large demo day events.

D.Camp, a non-profit start-up support organization funded by 19 banks, will be holding a demo day on Thursday to give 10 start-ups a chance to pitch their ideas to 22 financial and government institutions.

“D.Day X D.Camp All Stars” will feature five early-stage start-ups seeking to raise investment from D.Camp and win a working space within Front1, a start-up support center in western Seoul’s Mapo neighborhood where the demo day will take place, and five start-ups that aim for series A funding from companies and banks.

Start-ups taking place include tax and asset management service bridgecode, bank account and financial information analysis company Seizedata, car and insurance management service Chabot Mobility and BetterData and a Singaporean company specializing in anonymizing data.

Better Data was recommended by the Singapore government’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), which will also participate in the demo day event.

SparkLabs, a start-up accelerator specializing in ventures seeking to go global from early stages, will hold a demo day in Busan on Dec. 1 to give nine start-ups from the South Gyeongsang, Busan and Ulsan region a chance to pitch their business ideas.

Held in partnership with Google for Startups, the demo day will focus on local ventures focusing on environmentally friendly technologies such as plastic upcycling company Terra Block, and environmentally friendly product catalogue provider Miles and Rit Care, a start-up that collects used cat litter from homes.

The event will take place at B. Startup Station, a start-up support center co-founded by SparkLabs and Google for Startups last year at Busan Station.

“We hope that we can provide regional start-ups a chance to make it in the global market,” said Eugene Kim, a co-founder of SparkLabs, in a press release.
