d.camp, South Korea’s first multi-purpose startup hub operated by the Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs, will host ‘D.Day X D.Camp All Star’, a one-stop place where about 1,400 startups will compete for future investments and mentoring services, this week in collaboration with 22 financial institutions.

The event will take place at FRONT1, one of the foundation’s two incubator hubs, with 10 select startups to be on the podium to present their business models during the day’s main program d.day on Thursday. A total of 297 startups, including overseas entities, applied for the two-part pitching program.

The first part will be participated by five early-stage startup companies aiming for d.camp investment and occupancy of start-up complex FRONT1 will participate: Munice, the operator of Miracle Night, a digital sleep solution app developed based on sleep-inducing sound patterns in brain science; 4UPNOTE, a business management platform for small business owners; WeMeet, a mushroom-based meat analog brand; Inovat, a mobile app service that simplifies tax refund application for travelers; and VI KOREA, the operator of CAYS, an AI-based solution to design and produce box packages.

The second part will be joined by five companies that have completed a Series A funding round for potential cooperative projects with banks: Bridge Code, a tax management service developer and operator that helps users with tax reporting, asset management, and tax payment; Awake Corporation, the operator of Creator.ly, a one-person MCN platform for social media creators; SeizeData, a developer of a financial data program that classifies and converts bankbook and card usage details into meaningful data; Chabot Mobility, a platform that integrates and manages service data required throughout the driver‘s lifecycle, including car purchase, sale, and insurance management; and BetterData, a platform development company to convert customer information into anonymized data to be used for consumer analysis without concerns of privacy infringement.

BetterData is the first Singaporean startup that was recommended under a recent agreement signed between d.camp and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the city state’s telecom industry regulator.

During other events on the sidelines of d.day, Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), cento Ventures and Golden Equator Ventures (GEV) will join Global Meetup to share the know-how Korean startups need to advance into the Southeast Asian markets. There will also be 31 Office Hours sessions where a panel of d.camp mentors discuss their experience and answer questions from pre-entrepreneurs. The Office Hours program attracted 1,129 applicants, leading to a competition rate of 36 to 1.
