OAS Mission meets with Castillo in Lima

The OAS mission in Peru began its schedule of meetings in Lima to assess the political crisis in the country with Peruvian President Pedro Castillo and his ministers. On October 20, the OAS plenary agreed to send a mission to Peru to study the political crisis, after President Castillo asked the organization to activate the Inter-American Democratic Charter after considering that a 'new type of coup d'état' is being presented against him.
