Seoul, Tokyo summits break the ice over wartime labor issue: Seoul official

Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida agreed on the need to resolve the sticky issue of wartime compensations for forced labor during Japan’s 1910-45 colonial rule during a bilateral summit on Sunday in Cambodia, to break the ice between the two neighboring countries whose relationship had been stalemated over the last five years, according to a senior presidential staff.
