A new edition of Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Z Flip 4 in collaboration with Maison Margiela, a French fashion house, will be available starting Dec. 1 in select countries.
The markets for the initial launch include Korea, China and France, the company announced on Wednesday, without specifying the price.
The white body will feature a design inspired by the luxury designer brand and offer unique user interfaces tailored to the variation.
“A completely new user experience design, including wallpaper artwork and icons, have been tailor-made for this special edition,” the company said in a statement.
Phone cases themed around the design house will be rolled out as well.
“Samsung and Maison Margiela both believe in breaking with convention and allowing people to celebrate their individuality, and this is no exception,” said Stephanie Choi, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the smartphone business at Samsung Electronics.
“With this collaboration, which combines groundbreaking technology and a unique design, we want you to be able to express your true authentic selves and celebrate what makes you unique,” Choi said.
Samsung Electronics has previously worked together with brands such as Thom Browne and Santa Maria Novella to offer special editions of its folding phones.
