Treasure members Mashiho and Bang Ye-dam have left the boy band, said YG Entertainment on Tuesday.
“After a long period of discussion, we have terminated our exclusive contracts with Mashiho and Bang Ye-dam,” YG Entertainment announced on fan community platform Weverse.
The community cited health reasons for Mashiho’s departure, and Bang’s decision to focus more on showing his personal music style.
Treasure will now be active as a group of 10: Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Asahi, Haruto, Doyoung, Park Jeong-woo and So Jung-hwan.
Treasure debuted in August 2020 with the song "Boy." The band was formed through audition show "YG Treasure Box," which was broadcast by JTBC in collaboration with K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment in 2019.
