BHC Chicken location opens in Malaysia, Singapore next year

The first BHC Chicken location has opened in Malaysia.

The branch opened Tuesday at Retail Park, a shopping mall in Mont Kiara, a suburb located northwest Kuala Lumpur. It can seat a total of 62 people.

Daily Edible, Malaysian food and beverage retailer, will run the restaurant. It is the first overseas BHC branch operated through a master franchise agreement, with its two overseas branches in Hong Kong directly run by BHC. Under a master franchise agreement, one company is granted the right to open all the locations in an area specified.

The Malaysian branch will offer BHC Chicken’s classic dishes, such as the Bburinkle Chicken, Gold King and Macho King. The company also plans to develop new fried chicken options fit to tastes of local customers and offer them at the branch.

Starting with the first Malaysian branch, BHC plans to expand into more overseas markets. Singapore will get its first BHC Chicken in the first half of next year, and the company will open more branches in other countries.

“We have high hopes for the first Malaysian branch, considering it opened at an area where not only overseas Koreans, but locals and other foreigners like to visit,” said a spokesperson for BHC. “Starting with Malaysia, we plan on introducing BHC Chicken to more countries around the world.”
