Rocky of boy band Astro confirmed that the rumors he is dating actor Park Bo-yun is true, through a statement by his agency Fantagio on Monday.

However, earlier the same day, Park’s agency Management Koo dismissed the dating rumors and said the two were simply “good colleagues.”

“Rocky is currently getting to know actor Park Bo-yun, as some outlets have reported, with good sentiment,” reads Fantagio’s statement.

“The two first met while working together on the web series ‘Find Me if You Can’ [2021]. Park, who loves to write, later participated in Rocky’s music works and the two became closer. The two were good colleagues and recently developed positive feelings for each other.”

“We regret relaying this news during a national mourning period, when we should be sharing grief and consoling,” the agency added, referring to Saturday’s crowd crush that happened in central Seoul’s Itaewon. “We apologize that it has delayed our response [to the dating rumors].”

While Rocky and his agency confirmed the rumors to be true, Park’s agency dismissed the rumors as false earlier the same day, saying, “We confirmed with actor Park that the two are good colleagues ever since working together on ‘Find Me if You Can’ last year.”
