Actor and former “Produce 101” contestant Lee Ji-han, who died Saturday during the crowd crush in central Seoul’s Itaewon, was scheduled to be part of the upcoming MBC series “ Season of Kkokdu,” reported local entertainment news outlets Xports News on Monday.
Lee was set to appear as the female lead’s ex-boyfriend and reportedly finished filming his scenes in late September. He was set to co-star alongside actors Kim Jung-hyun and Im Soo-hyang.
Lee lost his life at the age of 25 during Saturday’s crowd crush, which claimed over 150 lives. His agency 935 Entertainment announced his passing on Sunday through an official statement and added that his mourning altar is at Myongji Hospital’s funeral hall in Goyang, Gyeonggi. His funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon.
The actor first became known to the public in 2018 through Mnet’s hit idol audition show “Produce 101" Season 2. He debuted as an actor the following year through the web series “Today Was Another Nam Hyeon Day.”
