Girl group Blackpink successfully completed the first concerts in the North American leg of its world tour, according to YG Entertainment on Saturday.
After kicking off "Blackpink World Tour [Born Pink]" at KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul, on Oct. 15, the group flew to Dallas, Texas, and performed at the American Airlines Center on Oct. 25 and 26.
Blackpink performed its hit songs such as "How You Like That" (2020) and "Pretty Savage" (2020) and one of its latest songs, "Pink Venom" (2022).
"I am so happy and honored to be able to perform at the American Airlines Center in Dallas," the members of Blackpink said during the concert. "It is so great to see our fans in the United States."
The American Airlines Center has served as concert venues for world-class pop artists including Lady Gaga, Elton John and Justin Bieber.
The group will continue to tour around six more cities in North America and then proceed to perform in seven cities in Europe through November. Next year, Blackpink will tour Asia and Oceania, ultimately meeting with some 1.5 million global fans, its agency YG Entertainment said.
On Friday, YG added three new dates to its ongoing world tour in Asia.
The Asian portion of the tour now runs from Jan. 7 to May 13, starting in Bangkok on Jan. 7 for two nights, then moving to Hong Kong for performances from Jan. 13 to 15, Riyadh on Jan. 20, Abu Dhabi on Jan. 28, Kuala Lumpur on March 4, Jakarta on March 11 and 12, Kaohsiung on March 18, Manila on March 25 and 26 and Singapore on May 13.
The quartet — comprised of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa — has been setting new records with its latest full-length album “Born Pink” and its lead track “Shut Down.” Late last month, Blackpink became the first female K-pop act to top the Billboard 200 albums chart.
