(국영문 동시배포) 국립고궁박물관, 종로구청-연합뉴스와 업무협약 체결

  문화재청 국립고궁박물관(관장 김인규)은 5일 오전 10시 서울 종로구 국립고궁박물관에서 국립고궁박물관이 소장한 왕실문화유산을 활용해 지역문화를 발전시키고 전통문화를 홍보하기 위해 종로구(구청장 정문헌), 연합뉴스(대표이사 사장 성기홍)와 업무협약을 체결한다.

  주요 업무협약 내용은 세 기관의 국립고궁박물관 소장 왕실문화유산 확산을 위한 상호 협력관계 유지, 올해 내 조선왕실 밤잔치에 사용한 사각유리등을 활용한 조명기구 설치 및 홍보 추진 등이다.

  조선왕실과 대한제국황실문화 전문박물관인 국립고궁박물관이 경복궁, 종묘, 청와대 등 많은 문화유산이 있는 종로구와 국가기간뉴스통신사인 연합뉴스와 체결하는 이번 업무협약을 계기로 박물관과 지역 주민을 포함한 국민들에게 풍부한 볼거리와 즐길 거리를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
문화재청 국립고궁박물관은 앞으로도 문화유산 활용 사업과 홍보를 위해 유관기관과의 협력을 확대해 나가는 적극행정을 실시할 예정이다. 

The National Palace Museum of Korea (Director: Kim In Kyu), an affiliate of the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea, Jongno-gu Office (Mayor: Chung, Moon-hun), and Yonhap News Agency (CEO: Seong Ghi-hong) will sign an MOU at 10 a.m. on October 5 on the development of local culture utilizing royal cultural heritage items housed at the National Museum of Korea and the active promotion of traditional culture

The MOU is aimed at maintaining a mutually cooperative relationship among the parties for the diffusion of royal cultural heritage housed at the National Palace Museum of Korea. It also describes plans for this year’s installation and promotion of lighting using the same cuboid glass lamps that brightened nighttime royal banquets during the Joseon Dynasty.

The National Palace Museum of Korea specializes in maintaining the culture of the Joseon royal family and the imperial household of the Korean Empire. It collects and exhibits cultural heritage items from the Joseon Dynasty and Korean Empire. Jongno-gu contains numerous cultural heritage sites, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine, and Cheong Wa Dae, that were sites of key events in the history and culture of the Joseon Dynasty and modern era. Yonhap News Agency is South Korea’s key news agency. These three institutions based in Jongno-gu will work together on projects utilizing and promoting royal cultural heritage, with each playing to its strengths and functions. This collaboration is expected to provide a rich range of things to see and do for not only residents of the local district but the entire nation.
