The 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Alain Aspect from France and Anton Zeilinger from Austria along with John F. Clauser from the US for their 'groundbreaking experiments using entangled quantum states, where two particles behave like a single unit even when they are separated. Their results have cleared the way for new technology based upon quantum information', the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm announced on 04 October 2022. EPA/PETER KLAUNZER
