On September 29, President Yoon Suk-yeol spoke on the proposal to dismiss Foreign Minister Park Jin, promoted by the Democratic Party of Korea, and said, “The people will clearly know what is right and wrong.”

This day, the president met with reporters on his way to work at the Office of the President in Yongsan and said, “Minister Park Jin is a highly competent person, who is so busy working all over the world for our national interest that I worry for his health.”

President Yoon mentioned North Korea’s ballistic missile launch the previous day and said, “North Korea has launched missiles more than twenty times this year already. Security is not free, and it is the foundation for all economic activities.” He continued and said, “Right now, the ROK-US naval drill is being conducted for the first time in several years, and today, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will visit South Korea.” He mentioned how it was difficult for two countries to discuss private issues for a long time at a conference with multiple participants from over one hundred countries and said that he planned to engage in much-needed talks while Vice President Harris was in Korea.

President Yoon added, “We will establish national security and a mid to long-term growth strategy together and ease the economic shock in various aspects, so citizens will not face inconveniences.”

When a reporter asked if the president had any intention to express his regret about his controversial foul language, he left without giving an answer.
