The Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2022

epa10189759 Kenyan Wildlife rangers the Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT), are silhouetted as they participate in a half marathon as they carry backpacks weighing 22 Kilograms during The Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2022, at the Lewa Conservancy, in Northern Kenya, 17 September 2022. The Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2022 took place simultaneously in 21 different countries in Africa, with 94 ranger teams participating. In Kenya, it was held at the Lewa conservancy with two different teams each having 4 participants, where the rangers did a 21 Kilometers run while each carrying a 22 kilograms backpack through a rough terrain. The main purpose of the challenge is to showcase the different challenges wildlife rangers experience through as they carry out their daily duties and also raise funds for conservation.
