Jung Chae-yeon, best known as a member of girl group DIA, has signed under BH Entertainment, the agency said Friday.
The news follows DIA's announcement that it will officially disband on Saturday, the day its contract expires.
“We are thrilled to be able to work with Jung,” BH Entertainment said in a statement. “We will do our best in supporting Jung to become a better singer and actor.”
Jung, known as a former member of project girl group I.O.I from the hit Mnet audition show “Produce 101” (2016) and currently active as an actor, has starred in television series like Netflix’s “My First First Love” (2019) and KBS’s “The King’s Affection” (2021).
Recently, she was injured while filming for the upcoming MBC series “The Golden Spoon” and underwent surgery for a broken collarbone.
BH Entertainment is home to other big-name actors including Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young, Park Hae-soo, Joo Jong-hyuk, Han Ga-in, Han Hyo-joo and Han Ji-min.
