Hanwha Defense, a leading aerospace and defense company in South Korea, is joining the 2022 MSPO international defense industry exhibition in Poland, for greater inroads to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) realm after milestone weapons order from Poland.

The company will showcase from K9 self-propelled howitzer to K10 ammunition resupply vehicle and next-generation infantry fighting vehicle Redback at the MSPO tradeshow held in Kielce, Poland on Sept 6-9 (local time). It will also present precision-guided missiles, anti-tank missiles and other ammunitions produced by other Hanwha Group units.

Last month, Hanwha Defense signed a $2.4 billion contract to supply K9 Thunder Self-Propelled Howitzers and 155mm artillery ammunition, along with training and logistics support, to Poland. The company will likely discuss the follow-up execution contract with the Polish government at the tradeshow.

Hanwha Defense is already scheduled to meet with Poland’s state-owned defense company PGZ to discuss manufacturing K9 howitzers in Poland and cooperating to develop next-gen infantry fighting vehicle and multiple launch rocket system.

The Korean defense firm will be opening an office in Poland this year to draw more orders from the military alliance in Europe.
