Hyundai Ioniq 5 which lost tax grant in US chosen as 2022 EV of the Year by US journal

Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been chosen as the 2022 EV of the Year by Car and Driver, an American automotive enthusiast magazine. The electric car of Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor beat 19 rivals, including Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Tesla Model S Plaid, after scoring the best in tests, from power performance to fuel economy and driving comfort, that ran for three weeks. Kona Electric, Genesis GV60 Performance, Genesis Electrified G80, and Kia EV6 Wind AWD also made Car and Driver’s list of 20 EVs for review. The car no longer is eligible for tax grants in the U.S. under the new Inflation Reduction Act.
