Woori Card has sold 200 million euros ($205 million) in asset-based securities, the credit card unit under South Korea’s Woori Financial Group said Thursday. All of Woori Card’s newly issued ABSs, with an average maturity of 4 years, were sold to Dutch multinational banker ING Group. The financing backed by credit card receivables would be used for ESG purposes, such as supporting card payments of small merchants struggling with Covid-19 setbacks.
